He is Risen

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)

From the end of February to the end of March, I took 13 flights! During these travels, I was in Indiana, Illinois, Washington, Iceland, England, Germany and Sweden!

I got to see the Northern Lights, Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, Ishtar Gate, World’s Longest Art Exhibit, Nobel Museum and Gamla Stan. I was also literally across the street in Stockholm from the store that the terrorist attack occurred this past Friday. A reminder that God can take us at any time.

It was cold over there, but awesome getting to witness God work in such different places. In areas known for atheism, it was extremely encouraging to see the power of the Gospel catch the interest of hearts! Not only was I able to share Jesus with many college students, but also refugees from many countries.

One in particular, Ayman, was the only one in his family to escape from terrorists at his home in Baghdad. He fled on a kayak from Baghdad and then an eleven day bus ride to Berlin. We were able to meet back with him and give him an Arabic/ German bilingual Bible. Ayman, a muslim, has now been meeting for a few weeks with the pastor there in Berlin and read the entire book of Matthew and part of Luke!

Weddings, Allergies and Baptisms

In the past month God organized things in such a way that I had the privilege of leading five baptisms! Rebekah, Chris, Will, Austin and Robbie. I’ve joked, but with all seriousness, that we are apparently in the season of weddings, allergies and baptisms! Qianqian (Chelsea), a Chinese masters student that God used me to get tied into our fold will also be taking the plunge this Easter Sunday as she gets baptized!

Headed Into Finals

God is good all the time! As we near the end of the semester and soon head into finals, it has been so good getting to reap the rewards of our labor. We got to attend NC. State’s Spring Game recently to support not just the school, but more specifically the men God has given us to disciple from the team! Pray for Terronne, Emanuel, Tony, Bryce and Will (mentioned above in baptisms). Also pictured (right) are the beautiful people that make up our church on and off campus. God allowed us to gather together for some time purely focused on food and the company we ate it with!

God is using me on campus, in the community, in the city, in the states and over seas!
